- Dual-Radius Face
- This feature may compensate for missed hits associated with a deviation of the actual line of travel of the putter head before impact from the intended line. This deviation may result in either a 'pulled' or a 'pushed' putt. A pulled putt occurs when a players' hands get ahead of his shoulders. When this happens, the ball usually stays inside of the intended line of travel. Due to natural body mechanics, when a putt is pulled, the impact typically occurs on the outboard half of the striking surface. Conversely, a pushed putt, or lagging the hands, is the opposite and the ball usually remains outside of the intended line of travel. Pushing a putt usually results in impact taking place on the inboard half of the striking surface. The initial line of ball travel is perpendicular to the line tangent to the point of impact on the ball. The convex nature of the striking surface is such that this tangent line is turned either clockwise or counter-clockwise, as compared to a traditional flat-faced striking surface, towards intended, thus compensating for the missed hit. Natural body mechanics allow the hands to get further ahead of the shoulders than the other way around. Therefore, the radius on the outboard half of the striking surface differs from that on the inboard half, resulting in greater compensation.
- Machined Brass Head
- Machining the head, rather than casting, may result in more consistent physical properties.
- Perimeter Support
- Instability occurs during the putting stroke when the head turns about the shaft. This design distributes more of the weight away from the shaft/face interface and the axis about which the head may turn. This distribution of the weight results in a greater moment of inertia, and thus, more stability during the putting stroke.
- Center-weight
- This mass located just behind the center of the striking surface results in less bounce at impact, or 'quiet impact'.
